CCC Demonstrated in 2016 Tour Workshop on Keyhole Approach of Neuroendoscopy in Zhongshan

A national tour workshop on keyhole approach of neuroendoscopy supported by SYM was held in the city of Zhongshan on 22 and 23 October. During the workshop, the ground-breaking product of Cerebral Corridor Creator Set (CCC) was demonstrated through training sessions.
Organized by Beijing Tiantan-Shenzhen Brain Centre and Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated with Guangdong Medical University, the workshop aimed to disseminate knowledge and skills of keyhole approach of neuroendoscopy.
The workshop invited a strong team of experts to act as trainers, including Professor Huang Guodong, Professor Ji Tao and Professor Wang Haidong from the First Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University. The training covered applying neuroendoscopy in treating hypertensive intracerebral haemorrhage, hydrocephalus, pituitary adenoma, and cerebral ventricle cancer. The training sessions consisted of lectures and exercises to enhance the trainees’ understanding towards neuroendoscopy and minimally invasive neurosurgery.
Highlights of the workshop included the introduction of CCC to integrate the keyhole approach and neuroendoscopy, lectures by several speakers covering a wide range of techniques, highly practical skills for trainees to apply in their hospitals, and cadaveric exercises, as well as VR training sessions.
Notably, the event used domestic equipment and supplies exclusively for training, reflecting the level of technical maturity in China. Participants from highly diverse backgrounds cooperated efficiently during the training.
The workshop was applauded by trainees from across the country. In supporting this event, SYM enhanced its connection with clinical professionals and learned more about their needsforinnovative technology and products.
